I dated a young lady that was enamored with the TV game show “Supermarket Sweep”. I think she was secretly in love with the host David Ruprecht BUT that\'s another story. Anyway, we would watch this show every day and in many cases could predict the winners during the introductory rounds. If you ever watched the show you would know just where I’m going with this.

Have you ever gone grocery shopping hungry? Much like the game show contestants of Supermarket Sweep, you race through the aisles hastily pulling items off the shelves imagining how these items will compliment your existing pantry of goods. And…when you get home though not hungry, want to sample all of the items you had just bought?

Well, that is this mix in a nutshell. Just got paid, bought music and sampled every piece! While sampling, the track named “He is” by Copyright grabbed my attention and pulled on my DJ parts...namely my cross-fader and my Technics 1200s. I kept running this track back and forth until it fit permanently within my collection of tracks that you will always hear when I perform live! This is by far one of the most uplifting and geared to the dance floor tracks I have heard in a long, long, time…not since the likes of “Follow Me” by Space frog and “Answering Machine” by Green Velvet. As a result of the feelings rekindled by this track, I’m back on the market for a club gig! I’ve been known to visit a club with a bag of records not knowing the DJ or manager and give the universal sign (tapping the left arm with the middle and index fingers) while pleading for a few moments behind the console…and in many cases have gotten to play (this also is my life in a nutshell). The Supermarket Sweep mix was put together in the same manner as the game show plus a passion for spontaneous DJing. I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I did making it. This is a first run with zero edits….can be considered live!
